Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Modern Freedom Consulting uses them on modernfreedom.pro, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They're widely used to make websites work properly, improve performance, and provide information to site owners about how their site is being used.
Some cookies are placed by the site you're visiting directly ("first-party cookies"). Others are placed by third-party services embedded on that site ("third-party cookies"). Cookies can also be classified by how long they last — "session cookies" expire when you close your browser, while "persistent cookies" stay on your device until they expire or are deleted.
How We Use Cookies
We use cookies sparingly. Our site is intentionally lightweight, and we don't run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or aggressive analytics. The cookies that may be placed when you visit our site fall into the following categories:
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. They don't require your consent because the site cannot operate properly without them. We use these for basic site security, load balancing, and ensuring the site renders correctly across devices and browsers.
Third-Party Service Cookies
When you interact with certain features on our site, those features may place their own cookies. The main examples are:
| Service | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Calendly | Powers the "Book your Clarity Audit" widget. Cookies enable scheduling functionality and remember details across the booking flow. | Session and up to 1 year |
| Netlify | Our hosting provider. May set cookies for site security, load balancing, and basic operational analytics. | Session and up to 1 year |
| Google Fonts | Our site loads typography from Google's servers. Google may log requests for security purposes but does not typically set browser cookies for font requests. | Not applicable |
Analytics Cookies (Future)
We don't currently use analytics cookies, but we may add a privacy-respecting analytics tool in the future to understand which content is most useful to visitors. If and when we do, this policy will be updated to describe the specific cookies used. Any analytics tool we add will be selected with privacy as a priority.
What We Don't Use
For clarity, we do not use:
- Advertising cookies or retargeting pixels
- Social media tracking cookies (Facebook Pixel, etc.)
- Third-party advertising networks
- Cross-site tracking technologies
Your Choices
You have several options for controlling cookies:
Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies. You can usually find these controls in your browser's "Privacy," "Security," or "Settings" menu. Common browser cookie controls:
Note that blocking all cookies may affect site functionality. In particular, the Calendly booking feature requires cookies to operate. If you block cookies, you can still book your Clarity Audit by emailing or calling us directly.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals, our site does not currently respond to them. We've designed our cookie usage to be minimal and respectful regardless of DNT settings.
Opt-Out Tools
For broader online privacy controls beyond our site, you can use tools like:
Cookies and Mobile Devices
Mobile devices and apps use similar tracking technologies that work somewhat differently than browser cookies (such as advertising identifiers and local storage). The principles described in this policy apply to those technologies as well when used through our website.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our practices change, when we add new services, or to reflect changes in law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
